Meet Gareth
Gareth lives in the Yorkshire town of Baildon with his partner, Claire. They both love the outdoors, so sitting on the doorstep of the open spaces of Baildon Moor, it’s the perfect spot.
As a keen runner, Gareth can often be seen splashing through muddy puddles on the Moor, either in training for his next event, or just because he likes doing that kind of thing.
When he’s cleaned himself up, he also enjoys playing a bit of snooker, indoor Zwift racing, city breaks and following Bradford City and Leeds Rhinos.
Known for his clear, concise and client-friendly writing style, Gareth has spent 27 years honing his craft working for providers, networks, SSAS administrators and financial planners. Between 2015 and 2026 he worked for Manse Capital and Fensham Howes, two of the most well-respected lifestyle financial planning businesses around. He credits this experience with helping him understand what part of the job he truly enjoys, as well as his continued fascination with all things financial planning.
He’s also a qualified Certified Financial Planner (CFPTM) with the CISI. He claims to have done this because he was “a bit bored”, but really, he was keen to prove that he could apply everything he’d learnt in practice, and that he’s not just a technical nerd. He describes the whole process as the “worst 10 weeks of his life”, but he still mentions it at every opportunity, so it can’t have been that bad.
He now jokes that he’s a “student of the game”, which basically means that he consumes financial planning and personal finance content even when he’s not at work.
Clear Path Paraplanning is the culmination of all of this: a passion project designed to deliver a high-quality, personalised service for financial planners and their clients.
